Confined Space Working

When all other methods have been exhausted, our engineers are fully trained in confined space access.

Access to confined spaces

We start by asking: Can the work be completed in an alternative way and do we really need to enter the chamber or vessel?

If not, our qualified engineers are fully trained and equipped for both “High Risk” and “Low Risk” confined space work, whether for maintenance purposes or to handle an emergency. We provide manual inspection of culverts, underground chambers, and above ground vessels, along with manhole re-benching and repair services.

High Risk and Low Risk confined space work

We provide full onsite risk assessments, use our own specialist equipment, and are fully insured for confined space work.

Health and safety is our top priority and we are fully accredited by…….. ensuring full compliance.

High Risk and Low Risk confined space work

High Risk work uses full breathing apparatus, whilst Low Risk activities take place with 10 minute escape apparatus.

Our engineers have received full training and achieved Confined Space High Risk – City & Guilds 6150-03/53 certification. They all have significant confined space experience and are fully equipped for all different scenarios.

Case story

Sweeptech has been contracted by a number of water authorities to clear out fat balls (which can be up to the size of a double-decker bus) in underground sewage networks. Our team of highly trained confined space engineers worked in full respiration equipment to clear the blockage.
