About the National Institute of Planing Contractors
The NIPC was established in 2022 following the amalgamation of the APC and FPC, combining years of expertise into one unified organisation. Backed by respected industry bodies such as the RSTA, MPA, and IAT, the NIPC is committed to driving progress across the planing sector.
The Institute’s main aims include:
- Increasing awareness and raising standards across the industry
- Promoting and advertising the planing industry, ensuring its significance is recognised
- Improving health and safety for contractors, employees, and the public, while keeping up with modern standards
- Encouraging collaboration by sharing best practices and addressing shared challenges
- Advancing training and competence, ensuring operatives are expertly skilled and prepared

- Influencing policy and legislation, using data from members to garner support and shape regulations
